This Environmental Scientist III position in the Division of Water's Resource Protection Section focuses on compliance and enforcement activities for NPDES Industrial Stormwater, NPDES individual permitted facilities, Large Systems, and Spray Irrigation programs. The role involves conducting routine field inspections, managing data submissions, tracking corrective actions, leading enforcement writing, and representing the Division in large-scale enforcement efforts. Daily responsibilities include planning and scheduling inspections, analyzing compliance data, and facilitating meetings with facility operators and other agencies.
Keyqualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Life, Physical, or Applied Science or related field
- Two years' experience analyzing and evaluating scientific data
- Two years' experience interpreting environmental laws, rules, regulations, standards, and policies
- Two years' experience in technical report writing
- Valid driver's license required as condition of hire
