Your RoleAs a member of the Security team, you will be responsible for promoting and guarding the community property and assets against fire, theft, vandalism and illegal entry by unauthorized persons while meeting and/or exceeding service standards.
Position Highlights- Status: PRN
- Schedule: AS NEEDED
- Location: 5850 LIMESTONE ROAD, HOCKENSIN, DE 19707
- Conduct safety and security inspections of all community property, including common areas, resident corridors, parking areas, and perimeter access of a large community campus.
- Examine doors, windows and gates to ensure they are secure.
- Patrol community property to prevent and discover activity in violation of criminal, fire or safety codes.
- Watch for and report irregularities such as fire hazards, leaking water pipes and security doors left unsecured.
- Investigate and report all acts of unlawful or safety hazards that would endanger persons or property.
- Investigate all incidents and suspicious occurrences, filing incident reports appropriately.
- Respond to all security calls and complaints, taking necessary action and handling on-scene emergency situations until relieved by a Supervisor.
- Secure and unlock areas and buildings in accordance with policy and community expectations.
- Assist in emergency response procedures as per community policy.
- Ensure outside furniture or fixtures are secure in the event of inclement weather.
- May be required to drive the community vehicle if necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Applicable state Security Officer License preferred but not required.
- One year job-related experience preferred.
