As a Fire Alarm Technician, you install and service fire alarm systems to meet code requirements. You conduct acceptance tests on newly installed or retrofitted systems and install materials such as control panels, modules, conduits, wires, and intrusion switches. You take pride in delivering quality work.

You upsell products and services when appropriate. You respond to system emergencies during regular hours and on-call shifts, keep paperwork up to date, and use strong relationship-building skills to work with clients. You find satisfaction in applying specialized skills to help protect lives in your community.

• Install and service fire alarm systems for commercial buildings
• Perform acceptance testing on newly installed or retrofitted systems
• Install materials including control panels, modules, conduits, wires, and intrusion switches
• Upsell products and services where appropriate
• Respond to system emergencies during regular hours and on-call shifts
• Maintain accurate paperwork and reports
• Build rapport with clients through effective communication

• Experience in troubleshooting
• Experience in programming low voltage systems
• Ability to install fire alarm systems, identify major issues, and complete necessary programming
• Thorough working knowledge of NFPA 72 regulations, electrical codes, OSHA requirements, and related safety procedures
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Ability to crawl ladders and work in unusual conditions
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
• Ability and willingness to participate in an on-call rotation

Two or more years of experience is preferred. If you have strong problem-solving skills, are self-motivated and proactive, work well independently, and have good interpersonal and communication skills, you may be a good fit for this role.

This full-time position typically works the morning shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with participation in an on-call rotation required.
