SchagrinGAS/Schagrin Home Comfort Products is a 4th generation family-owned local business specializing in propane delivery and the installation and service of gas appliances including standby generators, gas logs and fireplaces, and other comfort and convenience products.

To safely operate trucks for the delivery of propane gas to residential and commercial customers in a professional manner.

• Follow instructions for the pickup, transport and delivery of propane in a safe manner.
• Capable of operating a Bobtail Delivery Truck for propane gas.
• Properly load and unload trucks.
• Assist with service of appliances, tanks, and piping.
• Restart gas appliances and check for gas leaks.
• Assist with pumping out tanks, assist with and perform tank installations and changes.
• Keep a truck driver log, all necessary paperwork of all work performed, physicals when requested and any other legal requirements to drive.
• Keep equipment and vehicles in excellent condition by performing necessary maintenance (fluid levels, etc).
• Check with the Manager/Dispatcher before leaving any location for additional instructions or deliveries.
• Reports problems at the time of the delivery to Foreman.
• Treat customers and co-workers in a friendly, courteous manner.
• Report all accidents and safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
• Represents Schagrin Home Comfort Products in a professional and courteous manner.
• Reports directly to the VP of Propane Ops South, may also receive direction from various supervisors.

• Available to work between 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
• Required to be on-call on a rotating basis once trained. Must be readily available while on-call.
  • Available by phone, text, or email during after-hours and weekends.

• Must have a minimum 1-3 years of propane and/or natural gas handling experience.
• Must have a valid Class B commercial drivers license with Haz Mat and Tank (X) endorsement.
• Knowledge of how to restart gas appliances and check for gas leaks.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English
• Lift up to 50 pounds
• The environment is inside and outside in all kinds of weather.
• Ability to bend, stoop, twist, and move freely in the performance of the position.
• Ability to climb in and out of equipment many times during the course of the day’s work.
• Capable of operating various power tools.
• Must comply with Schagrin Home Comfort Products drug & alcohol testing policy.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and stand and walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
