Delivery Driver

Job Summary

This position requires a responsible Delivery Driver to distribute meals promptly to our program sites. You will represent our company in a professional and cost-effective manner with a goal of providing quality, efficient and effective program service. This position will be responsible for supporting a kitchen operation that prepares daily meals to be delivered to youth program sites in Sussex and Kent counties.

• Deliver meals to locations throughout Sussex & Kent counties
• Follow predetermined routes and time schedules
• Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate a delivery vehicle
• Complete driver logs and delivery reports
• Follow DOT regulations and safety standards
• Take temperature of meals at time of loading to the van, and again at site delivery
• May also require occasional kitchen production-related duties, including packaging of meals and any other duties requested by Kitchen Manager or Assistant Kitchen Manager.

• Must possess a valid driver’s License for at least 3 years and no more than 5 points on driving record
• Ability to operate a delivery vehicle in a variety of weather and traffic conditions
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Experience in food delivery preferred

• Position requires occasional pushing of cart, bending, reaching and climbing
• Driving for prolonged period of time
• Frequent moderate to heavy lifting

7 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday (Hours may vary according to the production needs of the kitchen. Occasional evening or weekends may be required).

Part-time employees who meet the following criteria are eligible for benefits per Affordable Care Act (ACA) Guidelines:
1 (one) year of service averaging 30 hours per week.

Part-time employees who meet the following criteria are eligible for Vision & Dental benefits per Affordable Care Act (ACA) Guidelines:
1 (one) year of service averaging 25 hours per week.
