Position OverviewWe are seeking a dependable and motivated Location Distribution Assistant to support daily warehouse and distribution operations. This role is responsible for receiving inventory, operating material handling equipment, maintaining warehouse organization, assisting with order preparation, and supporting loading activities. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities- Unload incoming merchandise and inspect shipments for damage
- Operate a forklift to move, stage, and organize inventory safely and efficiently
- Process and forward receiving paperwork to the office
- Move inventory to designated warehouse locations
- Stage picked orders in assigned loading areas
- Assist with loading customer orders and delivery trucks
- Verify picked orders for accuracy
- Maintain clean and organized warehouse areas
- Empty trash receptacles and monitor dumpster capacity
- Perform routine forklift and equipment checks
- Assist with inventory counts and other warehouse projects as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Forklift experience preferred; training may be provided
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
- Ability to work independently and complete tasks efficiently
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds
- Frequent walking, bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting
- Ability to stand for extended periods
