Are you a versatile and ambitious all-rounder who can switch quickly between different responsibilities whilst maintaining the overview? If so, you will be able to make full use of your talents in this role. Your duties will involve a combination of policy support, project supervision and the coordination of the DOCOMOMO International secretariat ().
DOCOMOMO International is a non-profit organisation, founded in 1990, with the aim of documentation and conservation of buildings, sites and neighbourhoods of the Modern Movement. DOCOMOMO is active in more than 85 countries and regions; for example, it has over 1,000 members, six specialist committees and publishes an academic journal twice a year. There is close collaboration between the Faculty of Architecture, Heritage & Architecture section, and DOCOMOMO International.

Day-to-day management is in the hands of the Chair, Prof. Uta Pottgiesser, and the Secretary General, Dr Wido Quist. As an organiser and implementer, you will contribute proactively to the policy. You will organise meetings and events, manage membership administration, handle PR and communications (website, newsletter and social media), and support fundraising for projects.
In addition, you will be responsible for providing secretarial support to the Executive Committee of DOCOMOMO International and will be part of the editorial team of the DOCOMOMO Journal. Finally, you will support and facilitate the Open Journal System for the DOCOMOMO Journal ().
- You have a BSc or higher vocational education (HBO) level of working and thinking, with proven knowledge and experience in coordinating, organising and supporting tasks;
- You have an affinity with (modern) built heritage and architecture;
- You can work well independently and possess good communication and interpersonal skills, across different cultures;
- You have a good command of spoken and written English and, preferably, Dutch. Proficiency in other languages is an advantage;
- You are highly digitally literate and enjoy automating complex processes. You have at least experience with and knowledge of MS Office and Adobe Acrobat, and you have experience with CMS and CRM systems (e.g. Word Press, OJS, OMEKA, CiviCRM);
- You have experience in creating content for and managing social media.
