We are looking for an Intellectual Property Paralegal to support and strengthen Scry AI's global IP portfolio across patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets. This role is critical in ensuring accurate IP filings, compliance with deadlines, and effective coordination between internal teams, outside counsel, and patent offices worldwide.
Role Overview
As an Intellectual Property Paralegal at Scry AI, you will play a key role in managing day-to-day IP operations, supporting patent and trademark prosecution, maintaining IP records, and enabling smooth execution of Scry AI's innovation and protection strategy.
You will work closely with legal counsel, R&D, product, and leadership teams to ensure that inventions, brands, and proprietary assets are protected in alignment with business priorities.
This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, process-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, innovation-heavy technology environment.
Key Responsibilities
IP Portfolio Management
Support patent, trademark, and copyright filings across multiple jurisdictions
Maintain and update IP dockets, records, deadlines, and status reports
Track filing, prosecution, renewal, and maintenance deadlines to ensure compliance
Patent and Trademark Support
Assist with patent application preparation, including inventor disclosures, prior art documentation, and filing coordination
Support trademark searches, filings, renewals, and oppositions
Coordinate with external IP attorneys, patent agents, and global counsel
Documentation and Compliance
Prepare, review, and organize IP-related documentation, agreements, and correspondence
Support execution and record-keeping for NDAs, invention assignment agreements, and IP clauses
Ensure internal compliance with IP policies and documentation standards
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work with R&D and product teams to collect invention disclosures and supporting materials
Support legal and leadership teams with IP reports, summaries, and portfolio insights
Assist in IP due diligence activities related to partnerships, customers, or investments
Process Improvement and Reporting
Help streamline IP workflows, tracking systems, and documentation processes
Prepare periodic IP status reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders
Support audits and internal reviews of IP assets and compliance
Required Qualifications and Skills
3+ years of experience as an IP Paralegal or in a similar intellectual property support role
Hands-on experience with patent and trademark filings and prosecution processes
Familiarity with IP management tools, docketing systems, and patent office procedures
Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and deadlines
Ability to work cross-functionally with legal, technical, and business teams
