Position: ASSOCIATE UTILITY

Maintenance and Repairs:
Perform routine maintenance tasks and repairs on utility systems and equipment to ensure they function efficiently and safely
This can involve inspecting, cleaning, and replacing components as needed
Troubleshooting:
Identify and diagnose issues with utility systems, equipment, and infrastructure
Troubleshoot problems, determine the cause of malfunctions, and implement solutions to restore functionality
Installation:
Assist in the installation and setup of new utility equipment, infrastructure, or systems
This may involve connecting utility lines, installing meters, or setting up communication networks
Emergency Response:
Respond to emergency situations such as power outages, water leaks, gas leaks, and other utility-related emergencies
Follow established protocols to address emergencies and ensure public safety
Meter Reading:
Collect data from utility meters to monitor consumption and ensure accurate billing
This involves recording readings, updating databases, and communicating with customers regarding usage
Customer Service:
Interact with customers and the public in a courteous and professional manner
Address inquiries, concerns, and service requests, and provide information about utility services and procedures
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records, logs, and documentation related to maintenance, repairs, inspections, and other tasks
This documentation is essential for tracking work performed and complying with regulatory requirements
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to safety regulations, protocols, and guidelines when working with utility systems, equipment, and hazardous materials
Ensure personal safety and the safety of others while on the job
Equipment Operation:
Operate specialized equipment and tools required for utility maintenance and repairs
This could include vehicles, power tools, testing equipment, and safety gear

Collaboration:

Work collaboratively with other utility staff members, supervisors, and external contractors to coordinate tasks, share information, and ensure the smooth operation of utility systems
