The Process Engineer will drive continuous improvement in process efficiency, cost management, production, and product quality. Responsibilities include collaborating with various departments, working closely with Maintenance and Production teams to ensure reliability and maximize process uptime, and supporting automation and control systems to optimize plant operations.
Required Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, industrial, metallurgical engineering, or related fields
- 3-5 years of manufacturing experience
- Fluent in English
Qualifications:
- Fluent in Spanish (preferred)
- Experience with casting or extrusion metallurgy (preferred)
- Strong mathematical skills, especially in process and manufacturing statistics (preferred)
- Experience with fabrication and/or industrial painting (preferred)
- Implementing and supporting continuous reliability improvement standards
- Applying Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to reduce waste and variation
- Overseeing projects to ensure timely, within scope, and within budget completion
- Identifying ergonomic risks and reducing them for safety and productivity
- Conducting system checks and analyzing operational data for optimization
- Standardizing best practices and ensuring safety protocols
- Managing workplace efficiency programs like 5S
- Developing business cases to reduce process variation and waste
