As a Regional Manager, you will directly influence cooperative growth and dairy-producer success by driving regional sales strategy, strengthening a high-performing team, and expanding trusted relationships across the dairy industry. Through focused leadership and measurable results, you’ll help ensure dairy producers receive the expertise and service they rely on to improve herd performance and long-term profitability.
Role Description Lead regional sales and growth strategy- Develop and execute regional-sales strategies aligned with cooperative goals and product availability.
- Identify new business opportunities and areas for expansion.
- Analyze market trends, herd data, and customer needs to drive revenue growth.
- Monitor sales performance metrics and guide improvement strategies.
- Set clear expectations and performance goals for sales-focused team members.
- Represent the cooperative at industry events to build relationships and generate new business.
- Provide leadership and direction to account managers, area sales managers, cattle-breeding(A.I.) specialists, genetic advisors, distributors, and DHI staff.
- Coach team members on sales effectiveness, relationship development, and customer service.
- Facilitate meetings and training sessions to strengthen performance and collaboration.
- Assess hiring needs and recruit team members aligned with regional growth goals.
- Partner with human resources on employee development and performance matters.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key producers and members.
- Address concerns quickly and professionally.
- Collaborate with internal business units including A.I., DHI, laboratory, and support teams.
- Work with partner organizations such as DRMS to support service delivery.
- Prepare annual budgets and establish regional revenue goals.
- Track expenses and review financial performance.
- Oversee billing processes and commission compliance.
- Ensure accurate reporting for National DHIA and quality-control-system audits.
- Encourage effective use of CRM, dairy-management software, and cow-monitoring systems
- Bachelor’s degree in management, agri-business, animal science, agricultural sciences, or a related field preferred; associate’s degree and/or equivalent experience considered
- Five or more years of managerial, sales, or consultancy experience in dairy or reproductive management preferred
- Has proven experience in sales leadership, dairy consulting, or agri-business management
- Understands herd management and reproductive programs
- Uses data to identify trends and growth opportunities
- Communicates confidently and builds strong professional relationships
- Is comfortable leading both strategy and execution
- Is organized, adaptable, and results-oriented
- Valid driver’s license with safe driving record
- Ability to work safely in farm and office environments, including tasks requiring sitting, standing, walking, bending, climbing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working around cattle
- Must be able to maintain professionalism and integrity in all interactions, modeling ethical standards and cooperative culture.
