This position is in Mitchell, South Dakota.
This is NOT a remote or hybrid position.
What will you do? Brazing and Soldering copper tubes and pipes together on and off assembly line.
Responsibilities & Qualifications- The brazing process is similar to soldering. Under direct supervision – responsible for various types of brazing/soldering of copper piping together as part of the refrigerant or water plumbing system.
- Join pieces of metal together by first heating them.
- Using nitrogen when brazing refrigerant system.
- Use of jigs to braze copper together.
- Use of vortex tubes to cool key components in the brazing process.
- Clean brazed joints of flux.
- Check units for leaks if required.
- Excellent attendance & punctuality while being dependable, responsible, and arriving on time.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain records accurately & follow directions.
- Must work well with others & get along as a team and work with other departments as needed.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. & possess physical strength for moving equipment & metal.
- Must pay attention to detail and have good quality soldering to prevent leaks in the field.
- Must be accurate, meticulous, and get things done in a timely manner.
- Must be able to work with little supervision and keep up with the fast‑paced production line.
