Construction Bookkeeper

We are looking for a highly organized and experienced Construction Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting within the construction industry and be proficient in Sage Intacct. This position involves managing day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance, while supporting key reporting and closing processes.

**** MUST HAVE CONSTRUCTION BOOKKEEPING/ACCOUNTING EXPERIENCE****
* Responsibilities:

• Oversee the full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring accurate and timely entries
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations on a daily and monthly basis
• Record and post journal entries and financial adjustments as needed
• Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure financial data integrity
• Contribute to the successful completion of month-end and year-end closing tasks
• Ensure all accounting records are accurate, complete, and compliant with GAAP standards
• Partner with project managers to monitor job costs, billing activities, and profitability tracking
• Keep thorough documentation of all financial transactions for internal records and audits
• Prepare for audits by organizing and providing supporting documentation when requested
• Use Sage Intacct extensively for all accounting functions and report generation

Qualifications:

• At least 3+ years of CONSTRUCTION accounting or bookkeeping experience, preferably in a construction setting
• Sage Intacct experience is mandatory
• Solid understanding of AP/AR, account reconciliations, and journal entries
• Familiarity with construction job costing is highly preferred
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general accounting systems
• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational abilities
• Self-motivated with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline preferred
