Accounting Manager

Position Summary

A private equity real estate firm focused on industrial NNN assets is seeking a Property Accounting Manager to lead property-level accounting and reporting across its portfolio. This role partners with finance leadership, asset management, and external stakeholders in a fast-paced, acquisition-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Reporting

+ Oversee full-cycle property accounting, including month-end close, GL, and financial statements

+ Review reconciliations, variance analyses, and reporting packages

+ Manage investor and lender reporting

+ Coordinate with outsourced accounting teams

+ Support acquisition accounting and system setup

CAM & Lease Compliance

+ Lead CAM reconciliations and tenant billings

+ Ensure NNN lease compliance (CAM, taxes, insurance)

+ Resolve tenant billing issues

Team Leadership

+ Manage and develop property accounting staff, including offshore resources

+ Own close calendar, workflows, and deadlines

+ Support hiring and onboarding

Systems & Process

+ Serve as Yardi power user (system setup, troubleshooting)

+ Improve processes, controls, and reporting capabilities

Audit & Compliance

+ Support audits, tax processes, and lender requirements

+ Ensure GAAP compliance and covenant tracking

Requirements

Qualifications

+ Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance; CPA preferred

+ 5-8+ years of real estate accounting experience (NNN required)

+ Prior team leadership experience, including oversight of offshore teams preferred

+ Strong Yardi and Excel skills

+ Experience in high-volume, transaction-driven environments

Preferred

+ Industrial or NNN portfolio experience within PE-backed platforms

+ Exposure to acquisition accounting and institutional reporting

+ Strong preference for experience managing offshore accounting teams and third-party providers
