The Mullings Group is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team. This position is ideal for an accounting professional with 1-3 years of experience who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
The Staff Accountant will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting multiple entities, assisting with month-end close activities, and ensuring the integrity of financial reporting.

Responsibilities- Process and record accounts payable transactions for multiple entities.
- Assist with accounts receivable activities, including invoicing, collections support, and cash application.
- Perform monthly bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Prepare and maintain intercompany reconciliations and expense allocations.
- Assist in month-end and year-end close processes.
- Record journal entries and ensure transactions are properly classified.
- Maintain accurate financial records within Quick Books Online and other financial systems.
- Support the preparation of monthly management reports and financial analyses.
- Assist with recruiter commission calculations and related reporting.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow tracking activities.
- Help maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Utilize advanced Excel skills to analyze financial data, identify trends, and support decision-making.
- Assist with audit, tax, and compliance-related requests as needed.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and scalability across the accounting function.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or currently in final classes to complete degree requirements).
- 1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably within a multi-entity or high-growth environment.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
- Experience with Quick Books Online required.
- Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and financial analysis functions.
- Experience performing account reconciliations and month-end close activities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

This is a fully onsite position located in Delray Beach, Florida. Remote or hybrid work arrangements are not available for this role.
