We are hiring a Customer Service Clerk in Delray Beach! We provide on the job training!
The Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller's office is seeking a well-organized, detail-oriented professional who thrives on variety and excels at time management to join our South County team as a Customer Service Clerk in the Violations Bureau.
As part of the Violations Bureau, you will assist customers from all walks of life with processing citations filed throughout Palm Beach County. This role offers the opportunity to develop expertise in traffic citations, driver’s license reinstatements, misdemeanor cases, county ordinances, and more. It’s an excellent fit for someone who enjoys learning, problem-solving, and providing high-quality customer service in a fast-paced environment.
This position is eligible for a one dollar per hour stipend which has already been added to the salary advertised. The stipend will be awarded upon completion of the introductory period and will no longer apply should the employee transfer out of this position.

- Assist Court Specialist Lead and management team with quality control, overall departmental efficiency, and procedural development as needed
- Cashier criminal traffic and ordinance violations; reinstate driver’s licenses
- Scan and update over‑to‑counter citations
- Set court hearings
- Provide statistical reports, run collections process and payoff requests, perform other customer service related functions
- Accept documents for recording, identify document type, verify statutory requirements
- Calculate and cashier related taxes and fees; issue certified copies
- Perform specialized recording tasks including processing of Declaration of Domicile and Domestic Partnership
- Scan documents; verify legibility of documents scanned into the Official Records
- Accept VAB petitions and documents to be filed in existing County Civil cases
- Process e‑filed documents
High school diploma (or GED) supplemented by five (5) years of recent and relevant experience that demonstrates the ability to accurately apply acute attention to detail in maintenance of detailed data preferably in an automated systems environment; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Some vocational or college courses preferred. Once qualified, deputization may be required to perform the assigned functions.
