Job Title
Senior Engineering Division Manager
LocationDelray Beach, FL
Employment TypeFull-time, direct hire.
Responsibilities- Manage and grow the structural engineering practice in South Florida.
- Manage client relationships and staff.
- Perform and oversee structural design, renovation, and inspection projects for new construction, design build, renovations, and adaptive reuse.
- Design, detail, and analyze building structural systems for commercial, institutional, educational, public‑sector, and industrial markets.
- Design, detail, and analyze low‑rise and mid‑rise buildings using concrete, steel, masonry, wood, and cold‑formed steel.
- Prepare calculations and drawings for reports.
- Develop finite element models for complex structure analysis.
- Conduct field‑oriented tasks such as investigations, site visits, threshold inspections, and condition assessments, and prepare corresponding reports.
- Work directly with clients to foster positive relationships and maintain base business accounts.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
- Knowledge of and experience in South Florida.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering with a structural discipline emphasis.
- At least 8 years of professional experience in structural engineering.
- Active P.E. license in Florida.
- Having own base‑business accounts is a plus.
- Proficiency with engineering, CAD, and BIM tools; experience with AutoCAD and Revit is required.
- Working knowledge of structural analysis software; experience with RAM (Structural Systems or Elements), STAAD, ENERCALC, and/or Mathcad is preferred.
- Proficiency in standard Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Experience with nonlinear structural analysis on complex projects is a plus.
- Experience with structural inspections and assessments, especially for renovation projects.
- Strong attention to detail and high accuracy.
- Self‑motivated with the ability to multi‑task and prioritize.
