Controller, Finance & Banking, Accounting Manager

Segrera Associates is partnering with a growing professional services firm. The Controller will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance. This hands-on leader will ensure accurate and timely financial information, support executive decision-making, and lead the firm's finance team. • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including GL, AP/AR, payroll, and revenue recognition
• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
• Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Develop and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations
• Implement and enhance accounting systems and process improvements
• Act as a business partner to senior leadership and department heads, providing financial insights and recommendations
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a high-performance culture

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA strongly preferred

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role
• Prior experience in a professional services firm
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
• Hands-on experience with accounting systems
• Proven experience managing a team and building accounting infrastructure
