Bookkeeper

Description We are looking for a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team on a contract basis in Delray Beach, Florida. This role is essential in managing financial transactions, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and supporting compliance with accounting standards. Responsibilities:

- Record daily financial transactions, including purchases, payments, sales, and receipts.

- Reconcile general ledger accounts and bank statements to ensure accuracy.

- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoicing and collections.

- Prepare comprehensive financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

- Assist in processing payroll and ensuring timely payments.

- Support month-end and year-end financial closing activities.

- Ensure all transactions align with established accounting policies and procedures.

- Organize and maintain both digital and physical financial documentation.

- Collaborate with management and accountants to develop budgets and financial forecasts.

- Assist in audits and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Requirements

- Proficiency in bookkeeping and financial record management.

- Experience using Quick Books or similar accounting software.

- Knowledge of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.

- Strong skills in performing bank reconciliations.

- Attention to detail and accuracy in managing financial data.

- Familiarity with payroll processing and reporting.

- Ability to work collaboratively with teams and independently.

- Understanding of accounting principles and regulatory compliance in a hospitality environment.
