Position: HR Generalist (Delray Beach, FL)

Addison Reserve Country Club is looking to hire a non-exempt HR Generalist to join our amazing team. The HR Generalist provides varied, complex and confidential administrative assistance to the Human Resources Department. In addition, this position will assist with all HR related employee services working closely with the Director of HR and Assistant Director and other team members to meet employee needs.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for creating and posting job openings, resume review, candidate screening and, conducting initial interviews, coordinates second round interviews with department managers, extends offers of employment and responds to candidates as appropriate.
  • Proactively establishes relationships with talent pools, including colleges and universities, professional associations, industry organizations and government employment entities.
  • Attends recruitment job fairs with above mentioned organizations. universities, industry sponsored and local municipalities.
  • Facilitates social media recruiting and brand presence.
  • Manages employment website and other related recruiting software.
  • Manages pre-employment process to include background checks, obtain drug test results, references and other pre-hire requirements as well as ensure records are appropriately maintained.
  • Facilitates, and delivers new hire on-boarding program to include steps of new hire process and new hire orientation with facility tour.
  • Serves as liaison between department managers and candidates during the entire recruitment process.
  • Composes verification of employment, work experience, and reference letters as needed.
  • Compiles employee handbooks, manuals, training guides and benefit enrollment packets.
  • Sends out mandatory mailings as needed.
  • Communicates employee info through digital boards and employee “App.”
  • Compiles and maintains employee files for year-round workers.
  • Assists with employee relations issues and concerns as needed.
  • Promotes and participates in employee rewards and recognition programs.
  • Participates in employee relations/engagement experiences including employee celebrations, events, and birthdays.
  • Assists the HR Director to facilitate the training and performance management programs.
  • Assists with worker’s comp claims and filings.
  • Ensures all EEOC and OSHA postings and posters are compliant and updated.
  • Assists Director of HR and Assistant HR Director with other HR related duties and projects as necessary.
Job Knowledge, Skill Requirements
  • Experience with recruitment in a fast paced, hospitality environment.
  • Experience with all mediums of position advertising with an emphasis on social media and internet job boards.
  • Knowledge and understanding of state and federal employment laws, general HR policies, practices, and procedures, including legal employment-related requirements.
  • Superior organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • The ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of HR issues and communications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Superior interpersonal skills.
  • Displays professionalism by using tactful, calm manner even in stressful situations. Follows through on all requests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Strong computer proficiency with MS Office, recruitment mediums, applicant tracking software, onboarding & HR systems, advanced knowledge of Excel, as well as ability to adapt and learn new systems.
  • Previous human resources experience in the hospitality industry.
  • Develop and maintain effective, positive, and productive relationships with the HR team, hiring managers and other associates and departments.
Education/Experience/Certificates/Licenses:
  • 4 years HR generalist experience in hospitality or related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related degree preferred.
  • PHR and/or SHRM-CP a plus
  • Experience in a high-volume office environment with confidentiality understanding.
