Role Description This is a full-time, on-site General Management role based in Delray Beach, FL. The General Manager will oversee daily club operations, including staff scheduling, team supervision, and ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for members. The role includes managing member experience, handling escalated customer concerns, and driving membership growth and retention through local outreach and in-club initiatives. The General Manager will monitor performance metrics, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with Retro Fitness standards and policies.

This position also involves collaborating with regional leadership, coaching and developing team members, and actively engaging with the local community to strengthen the club’s presence and impact.

Qualifications

  • Experience in general management or operations leadership, preferably in fitness, hospitality, or retail environments.
  • Demonstrated skills in team leadership, staff development, and performance management.
  • Strong customer service and community engagement skills, with the ability to foster an inclusive, member-focused culture.
  • Proficiency in basic business operations, including scheduling, budgeting, and tracking key performance indicators.
  • Effective communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Comfort with using club management software, point-of-sale systems, and standard office tools.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in business, management, or related fields is beneficial.
  • Prior experience in sales, membership growth, or local marketing initiatives is a plus.
  • Commitment to health, fitness, and creating a supportive environment for diverse members and team members.
