APPI is seeking a highly competent Shipping, Receiving & Material Handling Specialist to manage inbound and outbound freight, maintain warehouse organization, and operate forklifts with precision and confidence. This role is hands‑on, fast‑paced, and critical to keeping production and customer deliveries on schedule. Experience with building materials is a plus.
You must be an exceptional forklift operator. If you are average, this is not the role for you.
Key Responsibilities Shipping- Prepare and stage outbound shipments accurately and on time
- Verify packing lists, BOLs, and shipping documentation
- Load trucks safely, efficiently, and damage‑free
- Coordinate with carriers and drivers at pickup
- Ensure proper labeling, packaging, and protection of materials
- Receive, inspect, and count incoming materials against packing lists
- Identify and report shortages, damages, or discrepancies immediately
- Route materials to correct warehouse or production locations
- Move materials safely throughout warehouse and production areas
- Stage materials for production based on schedule
- Maintain organized, clean, and logical storage locations
- Count weekly physical inventory
- Operate stand‑up forklifts with expert‑level control
- Confidently maneuver long, delicate, or high‑value materials
- Load/unload trucks without damaging product or equipment
- Stack and retrieve materials at height safely and efficiently
- Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance checks
- 3+ years warehouse experience
- Proven expert forklift skills (you will be tested)
- Clean safety record
- Experience loading/unloading LTL and full truckloads
- Ability to read shipping documents and follow written instructions
- Basic computer skills (ERP/inventory systems preferred)
- Strong attention to detail
- Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs and working on your feet
- Experience handling high‑value or finished materials
- Manufacturing environment experience
- Inventory control experience
- Pride in precision

- Respect for materials, equipment, and deadlines
