Hoerbiger is seeking a CNC Setup Operator I for 2nd shift to support precision manufacturing in our advanced industrial environment. In this role, you will set up and operate CNC machines to produce high-quality components used in compression, drive, and mechatronic systems worldwide. Responsibilities include preparing tooling and fixtures, loading programs, performing first-article and in-process inspections, and making offsets and adjustments to maintain tight tolerances.
You will follow strict safety and quality standards, complete production documentation, and collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure reliable, efficient operations and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machines on 2nd shift to produce precision components
- Prepare and install tooling, fixtures, and materials according to setup sheets and work orders
- Load, verify, and adjust CNC programs, including offsets and tool changes
- Perform first-article and in-process inspections using precision measuring tools
- Monitor machine performance and part quality, making necessary adjustments to maintain tolerances
- Follow all safety, quality, and 5
- S/housekeeping standards in the work area
- Document production data, inspection results, and any nonconformances
- Communicate with supervisors, quality, and engineering on issues and improvements
- Support preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting of CNC equipment
- Contribute to continuous improvement in efficiency, reliability, and safety.
