Mobile Response Team – Palm Beach County Full-time & Flexible Hours
Job OverviewSouth County Mental Health Center, Inc. is a private nonprofit providing a broad spectrum of inpatient and outpatient care in South East Palm Beach County, Florida. The Outreach Coordinator will play a crucial role in promoting the Mobile Response Team’s services and fostering community connections with law enforcement, fire & rescue, schools, shelters, food banks, and public events.
Responsibilities- Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, schools, healthcare providers and other stakeholders to promote mental health services.
- Conduct presentations and workshops to educate the community about mental health issues and available resources.
- Develop and implement outreach strategies and programs targeting underserved or at‑risk populations.
- Create promotional materials such as brochures, flyers, and social media content.
- Collect, analyze and report data on outreach activities, community engagement, and program effectiveness.
- Coordinate community events, health fairs and educational seminars; organize training sessions for staff and volunteers.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to communicate available resources and with local governments and non‑profits to enhance service delivery.
- Advocate for mental health awareness and resources at local, state and national levels; support individuals seeking services.
- Interpret Baker Act, Marchman Act, confidentiality, abuse reporting and client rights requirements.
- Understand program and Center policies and procedures.
- Plan and organize events; manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong knowledge of mental health issues, services and resources; familiarity with community health assessments and program evaluations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication with staff, clients and families.
- Resourceful, independent, and able to make quick informed decisions in high‑pressure situations.
- Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus.
- Travel required within Palm Beach County.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Social Work or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in community outreach, public relations or related field, preferably in a mental health or healthcare setting.
- Experience working with marginalized or underserved communities.
