Position: RN/LPN Unit Manager
Location: Delray Beach, Florida
Schedule: Full-Time | Day Shift
Salary: $77,500 - $87,500 annually
West Delray Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced RN/LPN Unit Manager to join our leadership team. In this vital role, you will support the Director of Nursing (DON) and Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) in delivering high-quality resident care while effectively leading and mentoring nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the DON and ADON in overseeing daily nursing department operations
- Ensure nursing staff adhere to established policies, procedures, and job responsibilities
- Address resident and family concerns, ensuring proper resolution and reporting
- Manage unit operations, including staffing coordination and coverage
- Monitor staffing efficiency to reduce overtime and limit agency usage
- Provide supervision, guidance, and performance management for nursing staff
- Implement progressive discipline when appropriate
- Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
- Teach, demonstrate, and evaluate clinical skills and competencies
- Oversee MDS completion and ensure compliance with regulations
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on care planning and discharge processes
- Prepare reports, review documentation, and assist with audits and data collection
- Support recruitment efforts, including interviewing and hiring staff
- Foster a compassionate, resident-centered care environment
- Participate in weekend and holiday coverage as needed
- Attend meetings and committees as assigned
- Active and valid RN or LPN license in the state of Florida
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting preferred
- Prior experience in long-term care strongly preferred
- At least 6 months of experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
