Learn more:  As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol commercial real estate and residential locations, completing routine rounds, checking doors and access points, and documenting security-related activity. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to residents, tenants, visitors, and/or contractors by following site-specific procedures, access control requirements, and emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating observations to property management and/or Allied Universal leadership as required.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior common areas, parking areas, and building perimeters to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance or security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, lobbies, and amenity areas; verify credentials as directed; and assist with visitor management, deliveries, and service vendor check-in per site policy.
  • Complete detailed reports such as daily activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoffs, and report hazards, suspicious behavior, and/or policy violations through the established reporting channels.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
