Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Full Time Screening Examiner in Delray Beach, FL
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener at a government location, you will help maintain a secure environment by screening visitors, monitoring access points, and communicating professionally with the public and staff. Your visible presence and attention to detail will help deter security-related incidents while supporting orderly operations.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and members of the public while carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Screen individuals and personal property using assigned screening equipment and established procedures; identify prohibited items and report concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Verify access credentials, direct visitors to designated locations, and maintain orderly entry processes in a government facility.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entry points, surrounding areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized access and report unusual activity.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess 3+ years of combined corrections, law enforcement, military, or 7 years of security-related experience, or a college degree.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A guard card or license is required.
- Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
