SUMMARYThe Restoration Technician will handle the daily activities of emergency mitigation services as well as remediation work. This individual will play an essential role in the daily monitoring and documenting of emergency services, water mitigation, fire restoration, biohazard cleanup and mold remediation jobs. The main function of this position will be providing proper quality control, execution and documentation of all mitigation and remediation jobs from beginning to completion.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Respond to emergency services (board‑up, fire restoration, biohazard cleanup and water mitigation) both during and after normal business hours. Ability to lift and move equipment and mitigation materials 50 pounds or more.
- Follow IEP mold remediation protocols, review scopes and engineering controls for remediation.
- Provides quality control on all emergency service mitigation jobs.
- Maintaining best practices and following all IICRC S500 and S520 guidelines.
- Photo documentation both digital and infrared imaging.
- Monitors equipment and material inventories.
- Contacts customers via phone.
- Contacts new emergencies and assignments to gather pertinent data from customers.
- Communicate with estimators and adjusters.
- Report daily activities to RM/RPM/RPS.
- Ability to accurately sketch the mitigation area.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Ability to multitask and deliver results under pressure.
- Ability to access a multitude of different water damage situations.
- Create and implement drying plans.
- Calculate GPP and properly document drying conditions.
- Ability to operate thermal imaging equipment and hygrometers.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Strong computer skills, including ability to use tablets, and job management software.
- 2+ years’ experience in the water, fire & mold restoration industry. Experience not required for employment.
- IICRC certifications WRT & AMRT (preferred), FSRT & ASD (preferred).
- Experience in mold remediation is preferred.
- Extensive field, construction, and customer service experience.
- Organized and able to focus on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and PPE guidelines.
- Required to travel as needed including CAT situations.
- Ability to stand, bend and kneel repeatedly for extended periods of time.
- Driving record must meet RRT criteria.
- Ability to work 40+ hours and/or on weekends as needed.
