Maintenance Technician

Lifespace Communities is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support a resident-first senior living community. In this on-site role, you'll perform routine and preventive maintenance on building systems, resident apartments, and common areas to ensure a safe, comfortable environment. Responsibilities include basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical repairs; responding to work orders; assisting with room turns; and supporting safety and emergency procedures.

Working within a collaborative, mission-driven team, you'll help enhance seniors' quality of life while growing your skills in healthcare and hospitality-focused facility operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on building systems, equipment, and resident apartments
• Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical issues within scope of role
• Complete work orders promptly while documenting work performed and parts used
• Conduct safety checks, inspect life-safety systems, and report hazards or major repair needs
• Assist with room turns, resident moves, and general repairs to support community operations
• Collaborate with nursing, housekeeping, and dining teams to minimize disruption to residents
• Maintain tools, supplies, and maintenance shop in clean, safe, and organized condition
• Participate in on-call rotation, emergency response, and weather-related preparedness
• Follow all safety, infection-control, and regulatory guidelines in a healthcare setting
