The PM Warehouse Assistant Manager in a fresh produce company supports the Warehouse Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of fresh produce. This role is critical in maintaining product quality, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The Assistant Warehouse Manager plays a key role in optimizing warehouse processes and supporting the overall supply chain.
RequirementsKEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the Warehouse Manager in coordinating and overseeing daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure accurate stock counts, prevent overstocking or stockouts, and maintain the freshness of produce.
- Ensure that all fresh produce is handled, stored, and shipped according to industry standards to maintain product quality and minimize spoilage.
- Assist in supervising warehouse staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management to ensure a productive and efficient team.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations, including proper use of equipment, safe storage practices, and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Coordinate with the Warehouse Manager to ensure timely and accurate picking, packing, and shipping of orders, meeting customer delivery expectations.
- Assist in the maintenance of warehouse equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition and arranging for repairs when necessary.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within the warehouse, including workflow optimization and implementation of best practices.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and other warehouse activities, ensuring data is up-to-date and easily accessible.
- Work closely with other departments, including procurement, logistics, and sales, to ensure seamless integration of warehouse operations within the overall supply chain.
