This permanent position requires a skilled individual dedicated to preserving and celebrating the Coast Salish culture through workshops and community programs. Collaborate with Elders and local artists while working closely with the Events & Food Services team. Every event planned aims to strengthen community bonds and support cultural revitalization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver Language & Culture workshops and programs
• Organize logistics for events including venues and supplies
• Collaborate with various teams for event integration
• Facilitate traditional teachings and cultural activities
• Manage budgets and coordinate event-related purchases
Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years of event planning experience
• Post-secondary education in a related field is an asset
• Experience with Indigenous communities preferred
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License
