Become the Language & Culture Events Planner with Tsawwassen First Nation and help deliver impactful community programs. This full-time role focuses on organizing events that celebrate the rich heritage and language of the Tsawwassen community.
You will partner with the Language & Culture Supervisor and the Events & Food Services team to coordinate workshops, seasonal celebrations, and other cultural programming. Engage directly with Elders and Knowledge Keepers as you create enriching community experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and deliver engaging workshops and classes
• Organize logistics for cultural events
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
• Assist with traditional teachings and initiatives
• Develop budgets and manage event expenditures
Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years event coordination experience
• Relevant post-secondary education is a plus
• Experience with Indigenous communities preferred
• Strong communication and budgeting skills
• Class 5 Driver's License required
