As part of the Finance team, the Staff Accountant position requires expertise in journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. You will support both Canadian and U.S. operations, ensuring that financial data remains accurate and reliable.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review and process complex accounts payable transactions
• Prepare reconciliations for bank and intercompany accounts
• Maintain schedules for prepaid and capital assets
• Assist in preparing month-end accruals and adjusting entries
• Monitor unusual bank activity and resolve discrepancies
Requirements:
• Experience in accounting or finance roles
• Strong understanding of general ledger processes
• Proficient with financial reporting and reconciliations
• Ability to work hybridly, aligning with business needs
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP preferred
