Delivers exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects by identifying their needs and providing advice and guidance regarding financial solutions that best serve their interests. Collaborates with branch partners and other teams, manages operational activities, and leverages digital tools to enhance the customer experience. Acts as a key member of a flexible, branch‑based team, contributing to business results while upholding risk and compliance standards.
Responsibilities- Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products, services, and marketing promotions.
- Lead lobby interactions, including greeting, advising on digital self‑serve options, and conducting client conversations about banking services.
- Provide personal banking and investment advice, recommend alternative banking channels, and guide customers toward suitable solutions.
- Execute customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Review customer profiles, engage in needs‑based conversations, and address everyday banking plans and credit‑card needs.
- Support operational tasks such as inventory management, escalated service requests, filing, and opening/closing activities.
- Collaborate with business and market teams across multiple branches or channels, adapting to shifting schedules and work locations.
- Apply risk and compliance processes, identify and report suspicious activity, and maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of regulatory and ethical requirements.
- Elevate the customer experience by suggesting innovative, personalized approaches and contributing to continual improvement initiatives.
- Analyze issues, determine next steps, and/escalate as needed while performing complex tasks within defined limits.
- Adopt a measured risk‑taking approach in line with the bank’s Risk Management Framework and Risk Appetite.
- 1–2 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Certified or in‑progress registration to sell investment products (within 12 months, if required).
- Proficiency with social media, tablets, smartphones, and online tools.
- Experience in consultative customer service or sales roles with a focus on delivering a personal customer experience.
- Basic knowledge of personal banking products and the ability to refer specialized solutions to specialists.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including rapport building, listening, and flexible, creative problem solving.
- Organization, teamwork, and analytical abilities rated as good or above.
Salary range: $36,000.00 – $54,500.00, paid on a salaried basis. Compensation may include performance‑based incentives, discretionary bonuses, and a commission structure for eligible roles. Part‑time salaries are pro‑rated according to hours worked.
