About the RoleWe are seeking a Manager, Health and Safety to ensure our organization remains fully compliant with health and safety regulations and internal standards. This role is critical in maintaining a safe work environment across all sites and fostering a strong culture of compliance.
What You’ll Do- Ensure compliance with Work Safe BC regulations
, fire codes, and other applicable safety standards. - Maintain and improve the company’s health and safety program to meet regulatory requirements.
- Oversee health and safety governance structures and committees across all workplaces.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to verify compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Deliver training for health and safety committee members and supervisors.
- Lead MSI assessments and confirm appropriate control measures are in place.
- Investigate incidents and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Collaborate with internal teams to address hazards and present compliance‑focused recommendations.
- Manage workplace injuries and support return‑to‑work programs
. - Ensure annual evaluations of health and safety programs are completed.
- Maintain consistent quality in first aid programs and emergency response plans.
- Track and analyze health and safety data and report findings to management.
- Willingness to work full‑time on‑site
. - 5+ years of experience as an OH&S Practitioner.
- Diploma or Certificate in OH&S.
- First Aid Certification
. - Strong knowledge of Work Safe BC regulations
. - Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
- Proficiency with MS Office.
