The BC Liquor Distribution Branch (LDB) is one of two branches of government that provide oversight for the beverage alcohol and non‑medical cannabis industries in the province. The LDB is responsible for the wholesale distribution of liquor and cannabis, and operates the retail brands BCLIQUOR and BC Cannabis Stores.

The LDB Wholesale Operations team is responsible for the registration, procurement, customs clearance, selling and distribution of liquor products for the province of British Columbia. Our stakeholders comprise approximately 1,200 agents & suppliers, over 800 retail outlets and 9,000 licensed establishments. Working in collaboration with our suppliers and agents, our vision is to provide a reliable and efficient service to support the success of our customers.

There are five key divisions within the business:
Supply Chain, Pricing, Imports, Customer Service and Distribution. Each of our teams work closely in alignment with each other to provide a seamless customer experience and deliver on our service goals.

About this role:

The DC Process Manager position is accountable for documenting, auditing, and improving the effectiveness of all processes within the LDB’s Liquor Distribution Centres (Delta and Kamloops), including the administration of engineered labour standards and the execution and maintenance of the framework for ensuring employee compliance to the established standards.

The position is responsible for developing and maintaining all standard operating procedures and ensuring that execution of DC functions aligns with the documentation.

The position collaborates on a regular basis with all levels of DC leadership to identify areas of improvement and implement changes to support the overall effectiveness and performance of liquor distribution operations.

Utilizing process improvement methodologies and excellent analytical skills, the position works to continuously identify and implement process changes that will deliver improvements to key performance indicators, service to internal and external stakeholders and team culture.

The DC Process Manager is responsible for the leadership and development of a team of Business Process Analysts and Assistant Supervisors responsible for documenting processes, ensuring compliance, and driving improvements.

The DC Process Manager is responsible for leading their team in the collection of multiple data sources, including departmental KPIs and performance targets, workplace engagement surveys, employee feedback, and customer surveys to assess effectiveness. This position will lead projects to support business process improvement and continuous improvement initiatives of the distribution centres processes and performance.

The successful candidate must be prepared to work in a multi‑shift department. This role requires appropriate footwear and high‑visibility vest. The successful candidate must be willing to travel and work overtime on an occasional basis.
