Become the Maintenance & Engineering Superintendent at Seaspan Ferries, overseeing the maintenance program and technical needs of the fleet on-site in Delta, BC. Ensure safe and effective operations through strong leadership.
As a Superintendent, your responsibilities will involve managing maintenance practices, responding to breakdowns, and budgeting for engineering projects. You will collaborate with various teams to ensure vessel readiness, overseeing compliance and continuous improvements in performance. Your leadership will guide the shore-based maintenance crew and ensure safety standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure compliance with maintenance and safety regulations
• Coordinate unscheduled maintenance and repairs promptly
• Develop and manage maintenance budgets effectively
• Oversee shipyard planning and drydock specifications
• Enhance fleet reliability and implement improvement strategies
Requirements:
• Relevant post-secondary education or apprenticeship
• 5+ years of supervisory experience in marine environments
• Expertise in technical specifications and machinery
• Understanding of marine operational regulations
• Ability to train and motivate teams effectively
