Join Delta School District as a Temporary Cafeteria Assistant, enhancing the dining experience for students. This position emphasizes food service and kitchen support while prioritizing a clean environment.
Located at South Delta Secondary, this temporary opportunity covers 20 hours weekly, operating under the direction of the Teaching Chef.
Your role involves serving students, maintaining food safety practices, and ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare food for cafeteria meals
• Clean and sanitize cafeteria areas
• Help students navigate cafeteria operations
• Handle cash transactions and record sales
• Assist in food inventory and storage
Requirements:
• Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year experience in a kitchen
• Food safety certification required
• Strong interpersonal skills for student interactions
• Ability to perform physical tasks of the role
