Position: Cook (Casual) - The Waterford
Education & Experience     Must possess a diploma from a recognized culinary school

Experience in a recognized cooking establishment

Food Safe Certificate

Red Seal Certificate is an asset

Key Responsibilities     Prepare, cook, and present high-quality menu items while maintaining Bria Cuisine standards for food quality and service

Operate and maintain cooking equipment safely, ensuring the workspace complies with all health, hygiene, and safety regulations

Act as the lead for food production in the absence of the Executive Chef or Manager to ensure seamless department operations

Foster positive relationships with staff and residents while adhering to company policies and respecting resident privacy

Actively contributes recipe and menu ideas to the Chef, thinking creatively and in response to resident feedback.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of facility procedures and perform additional duties as required to support the culinary team

Skills and Abilities

Must have the ability to establish and maintain good interpersonal relations by displaying tact, courtesy and patience with residents, guests, volunteers and employees

Fluent in written and oral English.

Passion for fresh ingredients and producing great food every day

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Safely and efficiently operate all equipment required for the position's duties.

Must be able to lift 50 pounds and have the stamina to be on their feet for up to 8 hours

Communicate effectively, organize departmental operations, and supervise subordinates when acting as lead hand.
