BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF
JOB PURPOSE:
We are looking for a proven Technical Sales Representative to lead sales efforts across our crop input portfolio, including crop nutrients, crop enhancement products, and crop protection solutions, with a strong focus on greenhouse growers in British Columbia. This role is built for a sales professional who thrives on relationship-building, has technical credibility with growers, and understands the operational needs of the greenhouse sector.
- Manage and grow sales of crop nutrient, protection, and enhancement products within Canada with focus on BC.
- Achieves or surpasses monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Leverage existing relationships to drive customer acquisition and retention.
- Conduct technical product presentations and trials to demonstrate efficacy and ROI.
- Provide agronomic support and product recommendations to growers and distributors.
- Work closely with internal teams on demand planning, customer service, and product development feedback.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and grower meetings.
- Frequent overnight travel ranging from 1-15 days per month to attend industry events, trade shows, and retail, distributor, and end-consumer visits.
- Inputs all sales meetings, calls, and activities to the CRM daily.
- Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Plant Science, Horticulture, Biological Sciences, or a related field preferred.
- Equivalent experience in the greenhouse crop input industry will also be considered.
- Minimum 5 years of technical sales experience in nutrients, biopesticides, or crop input solutions.
- Deep knowledge of greenhouse growing systems and crop input requirements.
- Strong and active relationships with greenhouse operators, distributors, and consultants in BC.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and building trusted partnerships.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to travel regularly within the region and work independently.
- Effective presentation and public speaking.
- Own reliable vehicle.
- Valid driver's License.
- A University degree or college diploma in sales or agriculture is preferred.
Compensation includes a base salary, sales incentive bonus and benefits.
