Pre Sales Engineer
Provide support to the HID Healthcare RTLS sales team to achieve sales promptly and efficiently. This will involve participating in meetings with customers and partners to present the HID solutions and serve as an advisor in technical aspects of the solutions being sold and steps needed for efficient deployment. This role will be partially compensated based on the achievement of the sales team annual quota goals.
Responsibilities- Pre‑sales – assist in qualifying sales leads relating to HID Healthcare Facilities solutions (Asset Management, Environmental monitoring, hand hygiene and digital way finding).
- Support sales in a decentralized team, building relationships and serving as a subject‑matter expert for customers and channel partners.
- Act as a trusted advisor to prospective customers and build relationships with the HID implementation team.
- Develop deep expertise in the ever‑expanding HID technology platform, utilizing its full capabilities to drive client outcomes and ensure they can leverage the technology effectively within their operations.
- Prepare designs (using Visio) based on customer requirements suitable for sales quotes and system implementation.
- Manage key aspects of the sales cycle including requirements gathering, demos, proof of concept, product specification and deployment requirements.
- Develop technical documentation on best practices for the deployment of HID RTLS products and solutions.
- Participate in sales calls, providing expertise and answering/educating customers on features, specifications, functionality and integration.
- Support and assist in training channel partners.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of industry, technical and competitive landscape.
- Bachelor’s Engineering Degree or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience with deep knowledge of IT networks and products in a high‑tech company.
- Experience in consulting or demonstrated ability to quickly influence and build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
- Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities, with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong knowledge of Office 365 and its suite of products.
- Experience with an RTLS company preferred.
- Experience with a Healthcare IT organization preferred.
- Capability to prepare wiring and power supply instructions for equipment installed in a Healthcare setting preferred.
- Experience with Visio preferred.
