Apprentice plumber

Overview

PR Mechanical Ltd. is hiring an Apprentice Plumber to install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in commercial and residential settings. The position is based on-site with no remote work option.

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

• 7 months to less than 1 year

On site at the physical location. Work setting:
Commercial and Residential.

• Install domestic, commercial, or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems.
• Repair domestic, commercial, or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems.
• Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks, and waste and drainage systems.
• Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors.
• Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and fittings.
• Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, soldering, brazing, and welding equipment.
• Schedule personnel, tools, and equipment.
• Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges.
• Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing.
• Estimate costs and materials.
• Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to the required shape and size.
