About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Maintenance & Operations Assistant Manager, the Plumber is responsible for a variety of skilled tasks related to the plumbing trade, which are required for the installation, maintenance, repair, and/or upgrading of plumbing, heating, cooling, and ventilation systems within Nova Scotia Health facilities. This position may require travel to work at other sites.

About You
  • Ability to work in an environment with conflicting priorities, demanding deadlines and time pressures
  • Knowledge of applicable safety codes
  • Demonstrated knowledge and observation of safe work practices
  • Proficiency in the use of computers (e.g. Microsoft Office)
  • Ability to work with a minimum of supervision
  • Experience working with a safety permit system
Hours
  • Casual relief, no guaranteed hours
  • Shifts may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Call and shift work required, evenings, nights, and weekends
Compensation and Benefits

$32.79- $38.55 Hourly
