The Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) / Industrial Electrician are responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and performing preventative maintenance on various types of industrial equipment, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronics, and robotics systems.
Responsibilities- Inspect and repair a wide range of mechanical and electrical equipment: motors, pumps, lighting systems, industrial I/O devices, and control devices.
- Read and interpret mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematics.
- Maintain, install, align, and repair stationary industrial machinery such as conveyors, pumps, combustion blowers, fans, and tanks using hand and power tools, welding equipment, and machine tools (lathe, milling machine, bandsaw, grinders).
- Perform plumbing tasks with black pipe, copper, and PEX; work with natural gas burners and continuous ovens.
- Operate hoisting and lifting devices (chain blocks, jacks, forklifts) for machinery setup, installation, and repairs.
- Maintain power transmission systems, vacuum blowers, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Conduct routine maintenance, lubrication, and equipment calibration activities.
- Repair or replace defective parts and adjust machinery as needed.
- Perform MIG, Stick, and TIG welding as required for repairs and equipment upgrades.
- Investigate equipment malfunctions and document maintenance reports and work orders via CMMS.
- Adhere to food safety procedures (SQF, GMPs, HACCP) and collaborate with other trades and operations to solve problems.
- Support production by troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical breakdowns.
- Follow safety protocols and company policies to maintain a safe work environment.
- 3–5 years of experience in fast‑paced manufacturing, preferably in the food industry.
- Industrial controls experience preferred (Allen Bradley PLC, Siemens PLC, VFD Drives, HMI, basic industrial networking).
- Excellent communication skills in English – written and verbal.
- Able to work independently and within a team environment.
- Works well under stress and can work unsupervised.
- Computer literate:
Microsoft Office. - Read and interpret electrical schematics and programmable logic controls.
- Experience in hygienic TIG welding of stainless steels; aluminum welding is a bonus.
- Education/
Certifications:
Industrial millwright or electrician ticket or equivalent; RED seal preferred.
Tuesday to Saturday, 9pm to 5am.

Work involves daily exposure to unusual elements such as noise, dirt, dust, fumes, and darkness. Seasonal exposure to extreme temperatures, wetness, and humidity. Must be able to work on your feet for extended periods, lift up to 50pounds, reach and kneel daily. Proper safety equipment is provided.

Salary range: $15.00 – $45.00 per hour.
