Position: Heavy Duty Mechanic (Field Service)

Delta, BC | Full-Time | Monday to Friday

GIP is looking for an experienced Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our growing team immediately. We are seeking a motivated individual to maintain and repair our fleet of specialized foundation drilling equipment supporting projects throughout the Greater Vancouver area.

A Journeyperson Heavy Duty Equipment Technician Red Seal certification is preferred; however, experienced non-Red Seal mechanics are encouraged to apply.

Compensation

$48.00–$60.00 per hour
, based on experience and qualifications.

Location
  • Based out of Delta, BC.
  • Field position supporting projects across the Greater Vancouver region.
  • Monday to Friday schedule.
Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative maintenance on heavy foundation and construction equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engine issues.
  • Respond to emergency field repairs to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Support field crews with on‑site troubleshooting and technical expertise.
  • Maintain accurate service records and parts inventory.
  • Work closely with operations and project teams to keep equipment operating safely and efficiently.
Qualifications
  • Journeyperson Heavy Duty Equipment Technician Red Seal certification preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience repairing and maintaining heavy construction or foundation equipment.
  • Experience with BAUER & Klemm foundation equipment is considered a strong asset.
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulics, diesel engines, electrical systems, and onboard diagnostics.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.

    Ability to work independently in field environments.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving abstract.
