- Secondary high school graduation certificate
- 2-3 years of experience in commercial truck repair
- Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems and truck‑trailer systems
- Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
- Review work orders
- Test automotive systems and components
- Perform scheduled maintenance service
- Test and adjust units to specifications
- Complete reports to record problems and work performed
