AWP​/MEWP Field Service Technician

Zoomlion Canada is a subsidiary of Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science and Technology Co., Ltd., a global leader in construction and heavy equipment manufacturing. Our Vancouver warehouse and service center supports aerial work platform equipment operations across Canada.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Technician to provide onsite technical service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair support for aerial work platform equipment across Canada.

The Field Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining aerial work platform equipment at customer sites and company facilities. The role requires strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting skills, along with a customer-focused attitude and the ability to work independently in field environments.

• Perform onsite inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of aerial work platform equipment
• Diagnose hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and control system issues
• Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance and equipment servicing
• Perform equipment commissioning, setup, and operational testing
• Respond to customer service calls in a timely and professional manner
• Complete detailed service reports and maintenance documentation
• Communicate technical issues and solutions with customers and internal teams
• Support warranty repairs and claims documentation
• Maintain service tools, company vehicle, and diagnostic equipment
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies and Canadian workplace regulations
• Travel to customer locations within British Columbia and other regions as required

• Diploma or certification in Heavy Equipment Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical Technology, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in heavy equipment repair or field service
• Experience with aerial work platforms, forklifts, cranes, telehandlers, or construction equipment preferred
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Ability to read electrical schematics and technical manuals
• Experience using diagnostic software and service tools
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license with clean driving record
• Ability to travel and occasionally work overtime when required
• Fluent in English;
  Chinese Mandarin is an asset
• Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with MEWP / AWP equipment
• Fall protection or elevated work platform certification
• Red Seal Heavy Duty Equipment Technician certification (asset)
