Position: Grades person with Pipe-Laying Expertise
Advance your career at Norland as a skilled Grades person, focusing on pipe-laying and grade control within construction sites. Your expertise will drive the success of sewer and water main installations.

As part of this role, you will monitor and adjust grades during installations, guaranteeing compliance with design specifications. Your collaboration with crews and foremen will be essential to oversee excavation operations and maintain safety standards. Additionally, you'll be responsible for accurate interpretations of civil engineering designs and implementing detail-oriented adjustments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor pipe installations for correct slope and alignment

• Maintain accurate grade stakes and layout control points

• Shoot elevations and verify design requirements

• Collaborate with pipe crews during trenching

• Keep meticulous field records for project accuracy

Requirements:

• 5+ years in grading and pipe installation

• Proficient with pipe lasers and GPS technology

• Strong mathematical background for grade calculations

• Valid driver’s license for vehicle usage

• Safety tickets including CSTS and WHMIS
