Arena Operator - Planet Ice

You are mechanically inclined, have a passion for hockey, and are experienced working in a hockey arena. As a hard-working, self-sufficient, and dependable employee, you're excited to take on this role that includes maintaining the refrigeration plant and all other aspects of the building as well as having the opportunity to drive the Zamboni. This role includes working varying shifts and also includes a shift differential for graveyard shifts.

This is your opportunity to use your Ice Facility Operator (IFO), Refrigeration Operator (RO) certification or 4th-5th class Power Engineer certification and mechanical aptitude to keep Planet Ice's facilities in Delta and Coquitlam running at peak efficiency. You will be working alongside an amazing team!!

To qualify for this role you already have your IFO or RO certificate, or you are a 4th or 5th class Power Engineer, and for bonus points, you have a knack for fixing all things mechanical and a couple years' experience working in an arena. If you're new to the world of hockey arena operations though have strong mechanical aptitude, relevant work experience, and a positive "can-do" attitude, we can provide training and assist you to become IFO/RO certified.
