The Mobile Maintenance Mechanic reports to the Maintenance General Foreman and is primarily responsible for maintaining underground mobile and associated ancillary equipment. All maintenance activities are undertaken in a timely and cost‑effective manner while adhering to Company standards, policies and procedures to minimise downtime and ensure targeted machine reliability between planned maintenance tasks within Operations.
Duties include:- Undertake diagnostic, breakdowns, follow‑up work and preventative maintenance at a high standard, completing all work safely and promptly
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in all work areas to provide a safe and healthy workplace for all employees and contractors
- Provide technical advice and support to fellow Maintenance Team members
- Ensure workmanship through meeting standards and tolerances and testing equipment prior to handover
- Identify correct parts and equipment for all planned and unplanned jobs as necessary
- Continuously review scheduled jobs to identify opportunities for improvement

- 2–5 years practical experience as a mechanical tradesperson in heavy mining application
- Excellent fault‑finding skill and ability to carry out preventative and breakdown maintenance
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Pronto or similar CMMS)
- Good comprehension of safe operating procedures, safety rules, policies, emergency procedures and MSHA requirements
- Must pass a post‑offer physical and drug test, as well as a background check
Work on a 4‑week on, 2‑week off rotating schedule of days and nights, up to 12 hours a day or more at a remote campsite. Conditions include extreme and changing weather, dust, mud, noise, light and confined work areas.
Employees are required to stay on site at the company‑provided camp during the work rotation. Camp facilities include dining service, games room, exercise & weight room, sauna and accommodation rooms. Dormitory rooms have a landline phone, high‑speed Wi‑Fi and cable TV. Cell service is available through Wi‑Fi. The Company provides a bus service to and from Fairbanks, Delta Junction and Tok, Alaska.
